Building Meaningful Relationships
As a Care Professional, you will build trusted relationships with clients by providing companionship, conversation, and emotional support. You will help reduce loneliness, encourage independence, and support clients to stay connected to their hobbies, interests, and local community. Every visit is an opportunity to make a positive difference in someone's day.
Supporting Daily Living
Your responsibilities may include assisting with everyday tasks such as:
Shopping and running errands
Collecting prescriptions
Planning and preparing nutritious meals
Providing medication reminders
Supporting clients to attend appointments and social activities
Encouraging independence and maintaining daily routines
Home Help and Housekeeping
You will help clients maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable home environment through light housekeeping duties, including:
Dusting and vacuuming
Laundry and ironing
Changing bed linen
Cleaning kitchens and bathrooms
Watering houseplants
Organising cupboards and checking food expiry dates
Personal Care Support
Depending on individual needs, you may provide personal care, including:
Bathing, dressing, and grooming
Personal hygiene support
Continence care
Assistance with eating and drinking
All care must be delivered with kindness, patience, dignity, and respect.
Communication and Record Keeping
You will accurately record care activities and promptly report any concerns or changes in a client's health, wellbeing, or home environment to the appropriate team members.
