Description

Job Overview:
We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate Domiciliary Care Assistant to provide care and support to individuals in their own homes. This role is vital in helping service users maintain their independence, dignity, and comfort while living in familiar surroundings.

Key Responsibilities:

Providing support with personal care, including washing, bathing, dressing, and toileting
Assisting with daily living tasks such as meal preparation, feeding, and light household duties
Administering medication in accordance with care plans and company policies
Supporting service users with mobility, including safe transfers and use of mobility aids
Offering companionship and emotional support
Assisting with shopping, appointments, and community access
Monitoring and recording health, wellbeing, and any changes in condition
Maintaining accurate care records and reporting concerns to senior staff
Ensuring service users' homes remain safe, clean, and comfortable

Requirements:

Previous experience in care is beneficial but not essential, as full training will be provided
A caring, patient, and respectful approach
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
A valid driving licence and access to a vehicle (preferred for community-based work)
Willingness to undertake training, including medication administration
