Fundraising Support Officer
REF: NWM/565

​Hours: Part Time 30 hours per week ​

​Work Pattern: 4 days per week, flexible on how these hours are spread across the week (occasional evening and weekend work required)

Salary: £21,775 per annum, salary pro rata from £27,219 per annum

​Location: Sale Rd, Norwich NR7 9TP - Travel to various external locations as needed.
​*Due to the nature of the role a driver licence and access to a vehicle is essential for this role, mileage is paid at 45p per mile for cars after your home to work base mileage is deducted.



Norfolk and Waveney Mind is seeking a proactive and dedicated Fundraising and Support Officer to support the growth of our income generation activities. You will play a vital role in securing and developing new streams of funding through legacy giving, trusts and foundations, and major donors. This is a fantastic opportunity to shape the future of mental health support across the Norfolk Region.


About the Role
In this varied and dynamic role, you'll support the delivery of a wide-ranging fundraising programme, cultivating meaningful relationships with donors and funders to help sustain and grow our vital services. Working closely with the Fundraising and Events Manager, you'll take the lead on identifying, researching, and applying to trusts and foundations, while also nurturing relationships with potential legacy pledgers and high-value donors.


You'll collaborate across departments, working with our internal teams, local Minds, National Mind, and external stakeholders to identify and maximise funding opportunities. From writing compelling funding proposals to helping deliver engaging events, your work will directly support our mission to ensure no one in Norfolk and Waveney faces a mental health problem alone.


Key Responsibilities
- Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with donors, funders, and major supporters.

- Research and identify potential funding opportunities, with a focus on legacy giving, trusts and foundations, and major donors.

- Prepare and submit high-quality funding proposals and reports.

- Coordinate with internal teams to gather key data and insights for funding applications.

- Support and deliver a range of fundraising events, including planning, logistics, and volunteer coordination.

- Maintain accurate donor records and ensure all activity is recorded within the charity's CRM system.

- Deliver exceptional supporter care and communication to acknowledge, thank, and steward donors.


We're seeking someone who is:
- A confident and persuasive communicator, both written and verbal.

- Proactive and able to able to work independently and manage competing priorities.

- Highly organised with excellent attention to detail.

- Passionate about mental health and community impact.

- Experienced or keen to grow in income generation from trusts, foundations, legacy giving, and high-value donor relationships.

- Has experience of fundraising through legacy giving, trusts and foundations, and major donors
