Level 4 Aspiring Managers Course

24 senior social care workers have began their learning journey into Adult social care management.

The Level 4 Aspiring Managers course, which is funded by Norfolk Care Careers and delivered by City College Norwich, is appropriate for those aspiring to be managers or new managers in social care.

Over the next six to nine months, participants will cover six accredited units covering team leadership, innovation and change, regulatory processes, supervision and performance management and managing self for leadership. Their learning experience will enhance personal management and leadership skills and provide a deeper understanding of the role of a manager in Adult Social Care.

For the first session the cohort were welcomed by City College Norwich tutor Deon Ruiters and Norfolk Care Careers Workforce Advisors Ceri Kerby and Hayley Simmonds.

"Yesterday (15th Oct) we officially launched the L4 Aspiring Managers Programme with great excitement and a lot of enthusiasm. It was great to see so many different care organisations represented and the different areas of work they are all involved with. This provides a rich opportunity to learn from each other, network and share best practice. Everyone understood that the course will require personal and professional application to meet the requirements of the course.  We have a great team around them to ensure they have the right support and resources at their disposal to help the group succeed. The room was filled with optimism and commitment.  We are all excited about developing managers within Adult Social Care." Deon Ruiters L4 Aspiring Managers Tutor at City College Norwich
