Salary: The current salary scale for this post is £31,516 – £34,667 pro rata, per annum.
At appointment, the salary will be between £31,516 and £33,092 pro rata, per annum, depending on qualifications and experience.
Hours: 30 per week
Break Therapeutic Services provide therapeutic support for children across Norfolk. We work with the child, family and other agencies to strengthen the team around the child and to enable the child to process and recover from difficult experiences.
The work may take place in our unit in north Norwich, in schools or other suitable venues near to where the child or young person lives or attends school.
We are seeking a Therapeutic Practitioner to join our welcoming and supportive team.
We welcome applications from candidates with training and experience in the arts therapies, psychotherapeutic counselling, child psychotherapy, life story work, play therapy, DDP or other relevant trainings. We would also like to hear from those with an extensive portfolio of training in therapeutic work with children together with experience.
Candidates must be flexible and creative in their work, and willing to travel. BTS recognises that supervision is key in ensuring effective, safe practice. Monthly external supervision is funded and we are developing our peer supervision structures. Regular opportunities for ongoing Continual Professional Development are provided.

Break operate services for vulnerable children and families and we need to ensure that we take steps to protect both them and our staff teams from the transmission of the Covid 19 virus.
