The role:

We have a fantastic opportunity for a Team Manager in our Ipswich Road Community Hub service based in Norwich. This service provides excellent flexible and tailored support for adults with learning disabilities.

This role is subject to an enhanced with barred lists DBS check and suitable references.

It is essential that the role holder has a full UK driving licence and full business insurance to use their vehicle for work.

What does a Team Manager do?

A Team Manager will lead and direct a team of support workers delivering front line care and support to our customers, while being responsible for ensuring service levels are consistently excellent, and that new business is integrated into the service in accordance with our high standards.

Working with flexibility, and the possibility of participating in an out-of-hours on-call rota, you may be required to work early and late shifts throughout the week and weekend.

A team manager is required to:

  • Demonstrate excellent leadership abilities, communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Effectively coach and line manage a team of support workers, including all aspects of people management.
  • Ensure that support workers receive full induction, training and development opportunities and ensure they are familiar with all relevant policies and procedures to undertake their role.
  • Responsible for rota cover and staff deployment.
  • Ensure support workers are empowered to take responsibility and to work in a way that is imaginative and responsive to the needs of customers, facilitating effective customer participation, consultation, and feedback.
