The roles

We have fantastic opportunities to join our Personal Assistant Support team as a Support Worker,  working flexibly and proactively supporting customers to live independently in their own homes and in the community, ensuring independence, choice and dignity are at the centre of everything they do.

This role will be working with customers to ensure they get the right support, designed to build their confidence and enable them to live successfully and happily. This will include independent living skills such as cooking, healthy eating, managing money, and developing skills for travelling, through to support with work experience and getting a job.

This is a Care Quality Commission registered service providing flexible support, ranging from one/three hour(s) per day to 24 hours a day, 7 days per week.

Some of the support aspects may include:

  • Working with customers and family carers to fully understand what it takes to deliver the life customers choose for themselves.
  • Supporting customers to retain and develop independent living skills and promote positive relationships.
  • Supporting customers to access and participate in their local community and social events, promoting life skills and individuality.
  • Assisting with Personal care – which can include personal hygiene and using the bathroom.
  • Supporting customers with positive behaviours

Duties are varied and no two days are the same.

Requirements of the role

You don’t need to have previous experience in care, we provide full training. Our main priority is to find people with the right attitude and behaviours to match our own.

We want you to have commitment to quality and being the best you can. Working collaboratively to put customers at the heart of what you do, and actively encouraging and empower customers with their independence in choice.

The role requires working on a rota that may include early and late shifts throughout the week and weekend.

This role is subject to an enhanced with barred lists DBS check and suitable references.

It is a mandatory requirement to provide evidence of Covid-19 vaccination or exemption for this role.

It is essential that the role holder has a full UK driving licence and full business insurance to use their vehicle for work.
