Closing Date: 01/04/22

We are recruiting for a Support Worker on a permanent, part time basis (20 hours per week) to join our our supported living service in Rackheath, Norwich, Norfolk.

You will be required to work a variety of shifts on a rota basis, which includes weekends and bank holidays. The shifts vary from early to late (usually ranging from 7am to 10pm) and include sleep ins (sleep ins are when you stay the night at the service and sleep in the staff room). You may be asked if you can cover shifts in other services as well. Due to the location of the service, you may need a car to get to the service in time for your shifts.

About the Service

You will be supporting four gentlemen with learning disabilities, helping them in their daily lives and supporting them to live as independently as they can and to achieve their goals.

The gentlemen share a home and have 24hr support – you may support them with prompts to do housework, personal care, finances, medication, writing a grocery list, doing their weekly food shop, or to bake a cake or cook a meal. Some of their favourite things to do are visiting family, gardening, caring for their chickens, doing Lego, going out for a day out, or popping into a café when they are out doing errands
