Are you looking for an opportunity to make a difference in children and young people’s lives? We are recruiting for someone like you.

Being a support worker in a children’s home means never 2 days are the same, we can offer you a diverse, challenging and fun role. A day may consist of going to the movies, maybe a swim at the local pool or even a bit of roller coaster action, you may be supporting a young person with their school work or baking cookies together, the list is endless. Our aim is to help children understand the impact of their pasts and corresponding behaviours and feelings, through building strong trusting relationships.

We need people who work as part of a team –are able to reflect on what has gone well, what could improve and creating solutions together. Do you like being hands on and providing support directly to young people? Are you patient and resilient? Are you keen to learn and develop your skills?  If this sounds like you then we would love you to apply for this exciting role.

Here at Break we love delivering amazing services for children and young people.  Our team are committed to providing care, support, and a brighter future for the children, young people, and families who need us, for as long as they need us. Our work allows members of our community to look to the future with hope.

Following the need to increase the size of one of our teams, we are recruiting to these newly created posts for one of our Children’s Homes in Norwich.  The Children’s Home offers a solo provision for young people with complex behavioural needs.  This is great opportunity to start and/or grow your career in social care, you will get lots of training and support and be able to earn significantly above the basic salary with sleep in’s (which will be part of your shift pattern) and overtime.

We are proud of the fact that we are a supportive employer who rewards you for your hard work and involvement in our life-changing charity. There are multiple benefits of this role, such as:
