Support Worker | Cascade Norwich

Cascade is continuing it’s pursuit in becoming national leaders in providing residential care to young people and adults with autism, mental health conditions and learning disabilities. We are expanding and looking to recruit positive role models to support our residents along the road to greater independence for our home opening in November 2020.

As a member of our Cascade team you will play a key role in ensuring the promotion and provision of the highest standard of care. Delivering this care in a way to safeguard and support the development of our young people and adults.

Some of the main responsibilities of a Support Worker include:

  • Supporting our residents where it is required, following support plans, risk assessments and actively reviewing progress. 
  • Supporting residents to participate in educational sessions, physical activities, group activities and activities of daily living.

  • Documenting and evidencing care by completing daily progress notes and being involved in discussing how best to support our residents needs.

  • Promoting the health and well-being of residents in terms of both physical health and mental health.

  • General day-to-day upkeep of the house, and infection control measures. 

  • Assisting residents with meal preparations, personal care and other essential living skills to promote development and progression towards independence.

If you have the following key skills and attributes we would are keen to hear from you:

  • A positive role model with the drive and ambition to deliver the Cascade ethos to all
  • Passion to work in social care and transform the lives of others
  • Hold or willing to work towards the Care Certificate
  • Willingness to undertake additional training to support development in role
  • Good communication, listening, observational and writing skills
  • High level of personal integrity 


In return we will ensure that when joining our team you receive a full and robust induction and the successful applicant will be enrolled onto our e-learning resources to gain in-depth knowledge about how we work and the different difficulties/ diagnoses our residents live with. We also offer regular face to face training opportunities, free evening meals when on shift, pension and bonus arrangement for successful CQC inspections. We also run a ‘Refer a Friend’ scheme.
