Jeesal Care have been established for over 30 years and we are dedicated in providing person-centred care for people with a learning disability. We are currently looking for a Support Worker to join our team. This is an opportunity to be part of a team that values, respect, dignity and empathy and make a real contribution to the quality of our service users lives.

Whether you have previous experience in Health and Social Care or are new to this field, your life skills, great attitude and desire to support people to lead fulfilling lives is why we want to hear from you.

Support Worker Responsibilities:

  • Provide support to individuals in a respectful, sensitive, compassionate and person-centred manner in all aspects of their daily living
  • Provide support to individuals along side promoting their human rights
  • To support service users to develop/enhance their skills in various activities of daily living
  • Support service users to lead fulfilling and meaningful lives to promote their quality of life
  • Be a positive link with families and others important to the service user
  • Support the development and implementation of individual person-centred plans with the involvement of the individual

Duties will include:

  • Meal Preparation and Support
  • Medication Administration
  • Person Care requirements
  • Supporting with activities in line with the service user’s activity schedule
  • Housekeeping / Laundry (homes without housekeepers)
  • And more included in the job description (This can be given on request)

Desirable:

  • Driving Licence
  • NVQ L2 or above in Health and Social Care (Health Studies equivalent)
  • Understanding of the CQC requirements
  • Empathetic, caring and sensitive to the needs of others

Essential:

  • Willing to learn
  • Reliable
  • Communication skills including active listening
