Applications are invited for the post of Senior Research Associate to support participant recruitment activities as part of the FluCare trial under the supervision of Dr Amrish Patel (UEA) and Professor David Wright (University of Leicester). The FluCare trial aims to improve the uptake of flu vaccination in care home staff and is funded through an NIHR Public Health Research award. The research associate will be based at the University of East Anglia in the School of Economics.
In advance of starting the FluCare definitive trial in 2022, the successful applicant will be expected to work with the FluCare team to develop and carry out recruitment strategies, initially engaging with stakeholders to obtain expressions of interest from Care Homes and GP Practices/Pharmacists, and following ethical approval, contract and consent participant sites, tracking recruitment activity across multiple regions.
This post would be ideal for either an experienced RA with knowledge of working with care homes, or an experienced care home worker with management experience wanting to gain research experience. The research team are currently working from home, and it is anticipated that the successful applicant will be home based.
The post is available from 1 April 2022, or as soon as possible thereafter, on a full-time, fixed term basis for 12 months. Part-time hours may be considered.
