Relief Support Worker – Residential Children’s Home for Children with Disabilities – King’s Lynn, Norfolk

Break Charity has a tremendous record for providing a nurturing, stable home environment for our Young People and supporting them through to adulthood. We are pleased to announce an exciting opportunity to join one of our established children’s homes which help support Young People with disabilities based in King’s Lynn, Norfolk.

We need an individual with a caring and calm approach to help support and nurture the children living within the children’s home. You need to be warm, considerate, and resilient as sometimes the children can present complex emotional and behavioural needs.

The ability to work on a rota basis will be essential as the role will include evening and weekend work along with sleep in’s. All shifts will be agreed in advance with the Line Manager.

Qualifications

Candidates must have a relevant Level 3 Children and Young People’s Workforce Diploma or equivalent, or be prepared to complete one within two years of appointment (this time frame may differ if you have worked within the care industry previously and not yet completed a Level 3 relevant qualification).

Essential Information:

Salary: £9.64 – £10.07 per hour depending on qualifications – an additional £55.00 will be paid for each sleep in

Hours: As and when required

The first interview which will be a Safe Care/ Warner style interview, will be held virtually via Microsoft Teams. If successful after the first interview, candidates will then be expected to attend a formal interview.
