Relief Housing Support Workers

Bank – Based at Sheringham, Cromer and Stalham young people’s projects

We are looking to recruit enthusiastic and passionate individuals to join our Young People’s Services team on a relief basis, with an emphasis on nights and weekends.

About the role

As a Relief Housing Support Worker, you will encourage and enable young people to recognise, accept and successfully cope with the responsibilities that living in a YPS project entails, particularly involving the terms of their Licence Agreement.

You will work alongside young people to implement their support plans and follow their risk management plans in partnership with your colleagues. You will maintain good partnership working with other supporting agencies and liaise with neighbours, local and town councils, local police and any other interested parties to ensure good relations are maintained within the community in which the project is located.

You will create and maintain a calm and settled environment at the project, particularly during the evening and overnight, denying access to unauthorised visitors and responding to emergency calls as required.

You will provide appropriate support to residents as required, which includes evenings and weekends, as well as sleep-in duties, paid at £79.50 per night. Please note that because this is a relief role, regular shifts cannot be guaranteed and will only be available to cover staff absence, such as sickness and annual leave. All applications will be subject to DBS checks and references.
