NorseCare have an exciting opportunity for a Registered Manager at our New Extra Care Scheme, Swallowtail Place in Acle.

Due to open in Autumn 2022, Swallowtail Place will offer on-site care and support 24/7 for 58-flats, giving tenants and their families peace of mind that support is close to hand if required.

As Registered Manager you will work closely with Operational and Head Office Teams to deliver a successful opening and future running of the Scheme in line with NorseCare policies with the longer term goal to provide care to the wider community. You will lead and develop the staff team to ensure high-quality, person-centred care is provided whilst promoting tenants’ independence.

Main responsibilities will include:

  • Working with the Care Team to create comprehensive, individualised care plans that accurately reflect a Tenant’s needs and promote independence, ensuring these a regularly reviewed as required.
  • Leading on the successful recruitment and retention of staff to the scheme, whilst ensuring that the staffing hours are in line with the commissioned care hours supported by the wider HR Team.
  • Implementing the Strategic Development Plan and Scheme’s action plan to meet and exceed CQC recommendations and requirements with the aspiration of achieving an outstanding CQC rating.
  • Taking ownership of the budgets, ensuring all financial transactions are carried out in accordance with NorseCare procedures.

Our successful candidate:

You will have proven success working in a Registered Manager position with Domiciliary Care and ensuring the service delivered complies to CQC legislation, achieving “good” or above, alongside this you will demonstrate;

  • Dedication to continuous learning through holding either the Level 5 Diploma or Level 4 NQV in Health and Social Care, or the commitment to achieve this through further study
  • In depth knowledge of CQC legislation and Health and Social Care Act 2008
  • Previous experience manging budgets, and meeting financial targets to ensure long-term sustainability
  • Fantastic people management skills, including motivating and influencing
  • Full UK Driving Licence to meet the travel requirements of the role
