Title: Registered Manager

Contract: 40 hours, the times will vary depending on the needs of the home.

Salary: £35,000 to £40,000 depending on experience

Location: Sheringham

We have an exciting opportunity to join our team at Sun court in the beautiful seaside town of Sheringham. We are looking for a Registered Manager who is passionate about providing the highest quality service, has a positive approach to work, and who wants to work within our fast growing, professional organisation.

Sun Court is a registered Nursing Home specialising in Nursing Care. The home caters for up to 28 residents and we are always busy.

This position will be working alongside the current Registered Manager who will continue to manage the clinical aspects of home, the Registered Homes Manager for Sun Court Nursing Home will be responsible for assisting with day to day running of the home.

The Registered Home Manger will be responsible for organising and managing all operational nonclinical aspects of the home to meet contractual, legislative and policy requirements. Adapting to new responsibilities developed using the Care Act as required.

To work with the senior team at Sun Court Nursing Home to develop and manage effective systems. Manage the service, monitoring the implementation of policies and standards, prioritising and budget monitoring.

Your work should be undertaken with the involvement of Residents and all Care Staff and should reflect the company’s Equal Opportunities policy. You will be expected to maintain confidentiality and observe data protection regulations as appropriate at all times.

Personal qualities the applicant can bring to this post are of the utmost importance, these will include patience, kindness, and understanding of the needs of the individual, and relate to both customers and staff.

In view of the vulnerable nature of the people we support, staff must be of the highest integrity.

You will be responsible for allocating shifts in the event of absences, and you will be required to cover any shifts that you are unable to fill. It is essential that you are able to remain calm and professional, as well as have the ability to ensure that company standards and legislative requirements are upheld at all times. Manage a busy workload, effectively multi-tasking and prioritising when required. Dealing with emergency or crisis situations, making informed decisions using your initiative and reporting any incidences to the Senior Managers which you deem necessary.

Applications are invited from individuals with strong organisational and time management skills; the ability to communicate effectively and coherently, both verbally and in writing; the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships and a sound understanding of good care principles.

It is desirable that applicants have experience of service provision in the care profession and/or experience of supported housing within the care profession.
