Seeking a carer and right hand person, in NR2

This would suit someone who values supporting someone, in the ways they require, to enable them to live a better quality and fulfilling life. This support may seem unconventional at times, due to my lifestyle, which keeps things interesting.

You will be lone working and at least half the role includes the routine tasks around food preparation, personal care and home maintenance, with interesting jaunts to places of interest/hobbies, projects (Crafts) and mini adventures to the countryside etc. Much of what you will help me with is routine based and to help me manage my home and life and improve my life, wherever possible.

Your role will be to understand how I live my life and dovetail with me, to think ahead on my behalf as to what I need, in the way I need it, when I’m too unwell/non-cognate. To ensure I have everything needed set-up, when I’m surviving alone.

As my Personal Care Assistant you will assist me in all areas of life, personal care, competent in cooking from scratch, maintaining my home, assisting me to appointments/out, getting shopping and running errands and being a positive influence in my life. My time and energy is limited so I delegate wherever possible, with what time we have.

The Hours

There are 18.5hrs p/w to be split between two carers (To cover each others holidays etc). I’m happy to be flexible on how these are split within reason, to try to work with both parties.

Happy for one carer to take all hours until the other position is filled. Please contact me for details of hours.

Some flexibility is required at times for changing life needs. You’ll be required to cover sickness, holidays and staff shortages, where possible.

* Pragmatic and efficient

* On the ball and conscientious – this includes multi tasking/juggling tasks and prioritising

* Patience, with a dark sense of humour helps

* Reliable and responsible for a vulnerable person

* You listen and are solution orientated

* A genuine interest in healthy food and cooking from scratch

* Great spoken, written and auditory English skills – as I often have speech difficulties so it can be difficult to understand me and visa-versa

* Trustworthy and Confidential

* Driver desired but will consider non-driver
