Personal Care Assistant DPSS485

To support a gentleman in providing care needs for his wife.  There are 28 hours available across the week, payable at £15 per hour.  If you can fill any of these hours, please do get in touch.

To support with all aspect of personal care, double up if possible, at times to allow the lady’s husband a bit of a break.  Help prepare meals and possibly batch cooking.  Assistance with food shopping is also required and other domestic tasks to be undertaken when possible.

Listed below are the skills, competencies and qualities that are essential and desirable for the post. My assessment of these, both on application and at interview, will be the main factor in determining if you are successful. Please refer to these when submitting your application.

·      previous experience is a similar setting

·      a ‘can do’ attitude

·      flexible in hours/times

·      the ability to follow basic nutritional recipes and prepare meals

·      The rate of pay for this position is £15 per hour

·      You will be reimbursed for any agreed expenses incurred as part of the role

·      Hours and times of work: there are 28 hours available across 7 days per week.  Some of the calls may only be for one hour.

·      A satisfactory enhanced Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) check, the cost of which will be covered by the employer.

·      Satisfactory references from two referees, one of which must be your current or last employer.

·      Completion of a satisfactory probationary period of 3 months.
