Job Purpose: I’m a very friendly and approachable woman from a creative arts background. As I have muscular dystrophy, I would like your support with personal care, domestic tasks and leisure activities.
Location: Norwich.
Details:
·       Supporting me with my personal care including showering, washing my hair and dressing, using a stand aid.
·       Domestic tasks including laundry, cleaning, washing up and emptying the bins.
·       Food preparation.
·       General tasks such as opening the blinds and assisting me to retrieve my post from the post room.
·       Supporting me to go out in my powered wheelchair or in my automatic vehicle.

·       Running errands as required.

·       Female due to the personal care aspects of the role.
·       Experience in moving and handling.
·       Good communication skills.
·       A positive can-do attitude to work.
·       A patient and encouraging nature.

·       Confident to drive an automatic vehicle would be an advantage.

Summary terms and conditions
  • The rate of pay for this position is £9.37 per hour.
  • You will be reimbursed for any agreed expenses incurred as part of the role.
  • Hours and times of work: Approx. 10 hours per week initially, ideally including Monday-Thursday mornings 2 hours each with a start time between 8:30-10am, with some additional hours available. This is to cover the maternity leave of an existing PA for at least 9 months. Once my PA returns to work, some hours may still be available for you.
  • The annual holiday entitlement will be equivalent to the work I would normally expect to be done during 5.6 consecutive weeks.
