We are establishing a new outreach service for children with disabilities in Norfolk. The service will work with young people who have a severe learning/physical disability which may include young people with challenging behaviours or complex health needs.
We are looking for outreach support workers to join our new team. You will be working with young people and their families within their own homes, providing direct holistic care and support to prevent family breakdown. You will need to be enthusiastic, flexible and responsive to the needs of the young people.
A key feature of the role will be enabling young people to express themselves whatever their means of communication, so we are looking for support workers who are willing to be creative and innovative. You will ideally have a Level 3 certificate in Health and Social Care and/or experience in a caring environment.
You will need to be a good communicator and have the ability to work alone but also as part of a team.
The role will involve working evenings, nights, weekends and bank holidays.
Interviews will take place via video technology, where you will have the opportunity to discuss these working arrangements.
