Being a support worker at Thera is all about improving people’s quality of life and helping them to be totally in the driving seat when it comes to planning and living their lives to the full.
This is a hugely rewarding role that offers plenty of variety, and as part of Respite Team you will be supporting individuals on a short stay in our new respite center in Norwich and Alpington.
Your role will be varied and you will be supporting people with all aspects of daily living. People come to stay with us, whether it’s for a few hours or for a week, we support them with any aspect of their care required, as well as to take part in many activities such as day trips, gardening, crafts, baking and more.
You will need to be experienced in care and be able to think on your feet, be compassionate and like to be around people-we will give you the training you need to be part of the team. There are great opportunities for career development if you’re ambitious and want to progress.

Experience is welcome but there is no substitute for the right attitude, a supportive nature and a sense of humour.
Our Learning Together Academy will make sure you have the tools and resources you need to do your job really well. We encourage your ongoing learning and development and you will have the opportunity to complete recognised social care qualifications.
Due to the nature of this role you would need a valid driving licence.
