Would you like to be a support worker for people with learning disabilities and mental health needs in their own homes and in their communities? You can help them to have a more independent and fulfilling life whilst developing a career in social care!

We’re looking for support workers to become part of a dedicated team in Snettisham, supporting 5 adults with learning disabilities in their own home in a rural setting, helping them maintain their independence and supporting with all aspects of daily living, including outings and activities.

Full driving license required as you will need to be able to drive supported peoples’ vehicles.

Training is provided & all our support workers complete shadow shifts.

We also have a buddy system in place to support staff that are new in post. If you have never worked in care, we will support you to complete the Care Certificate.

This role is paid at £8.91 an hour.

About The Role

  • You’ll support people with all aspects of daily living, including cooking, cleaning, shopping, meal prep, personal care etc.
  • Help the people you’re supporting become more involved in their communities
  • Support people socially and to enjoy hobbies and activities, like swimming or cycling
  • Assist with volunteering/employment opportunities
  • Support with holidays, trips and days out and more

Shift Patterns

We have weekly rotas of shift patterns which may include mornings, evenings, waking nights, & sleep overs, including weekend & bank holidays.

What skills and experience do I need?

Essential

  • Candidates that are adventurous, friendly, encouraging, supportive, respectful, and resourceful
  • People that share our values
  • Good level of spoken & written communication
  • Full UK driving license

 

Desirable

  • Previous experience
