We are looking for a committed, friendly, patient individual to join our Adult Service team as a full time Support Worker!

Do you have experience of caring for people in either a professional or personal situation? Do you have an understanding of the experiences of disabled people and their families, and an appreciation of the barriers to inclusion that they may face? Are you a great communicator and able to build positive relationships with people from all walks of life? Are you prepared to use the skills you have to demonstrate an enthusiasm, lots of energy and getting involved with lots of fun activities?

Role Details

Hours: 36 hours per week over 5 days

Rate of pay: under 18 years of age is £4.62 per hour / aged 18 to 20 years of age is £6.56 per hour / aged 21 to 22 years of age is £8.36 per hour / aged 23 and over is £8.91 per hour

Closing date: midday on 4 May 2021

Purpose and Scope of the Role

The Hamlet Adult Services provide support to young adults with disabilities and complex health needs through a wide range of individual and group activities at the Adult Service centre and within the community. The post holder will work on a one-to-one basis with Hamlet Users and their specific needs / activities as well as supporting in a group setting. We aim to ensure that Hamlet Users, whatever their ability, can take as full a part as possible in their chosen activities.

Supporting our Safeguarding Commitment:

You will be required to hold a satisfactory Enhanced DBS check and have supplied at least 2 satisfactory references before starting work. Any conviction or adverse report relating to care, children, vulnerable adults, or dishonesty would make a candidate unsuitable for this role.
