Job Purpose
To provide support for a mum with complex mental health issues including trauma related dissociative identity disorder and PTSD, helping to care for her daughter, family and home and promote wellbeing and independence.

Details
I am looking for a friendly and supportive PA to provide care for myself and support to look after my teenage daughter who is on autistic spectrum and has social anxiety so is not currently accessing education. My PA will help me to maintain my own personal care as well as keeping my routine together, and supporting us with educational needs, encouraging me to take exercise, community engagement (voluntary work) and working towards my goal of being self-employed. Ideally visits will be around the time of our evening meal on 3 or 4 days per week, and occasional Saturdays. I would consider offering the position to a student currently studying a related role (possibly occupational therapy) and could be flexible regarding working times to fit around term time and holidays.

Summary terms and conditions
  • The rate of pay for this position is £9.37 per hour
  • You will be reimbursed for any agreed expenses incurred as part of the role.
  • Free Care Skills Training provided to employees.
  • Hours and times of work: 12hrs per week, at flexible times. Probably 3 or 4 early evenings and alternate Saturdays depending on need/activities.
The post is subject to the following:
  • A satisfactory enhanced Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) check, the cost of which will be covered by the employer.
  • Satisfactory references from two referees, one of which must be your current or last employer.
  • Completion of a satisfactory probationary period of 3 months.
