Domestic Abuse Case Worker – Coastal Refuge

Hours: 20 per week
Salary: £24,028 pro rata

Job purpose:

  • To provide an effective, supportive and confidential service for women and children requiring emergency refuge accommodation.
  • To ensure that the refuge operational policies procedures are implemented and adhered to, and that all statistical data is collated and maintained for stakeholders and funding bodies.
  • To support the Refuge Services Co-ordinator in developing the Refuge Service to deliver the best possible outcomes for refuge residents

Essential Requirements:

  • Relevant qualification and/or two years’ experience of working with women and children who are experiencing domestic violence, for a statutory or voluntary agency.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Experience of safeguarding vulnerable adults and children.
  • Ability to work on a rota over 7 days including evening work and take part in the out of hours on call system
  • The ability to use Microsoft office is essential
  • Full driving license, business insurance & use of a car to travel

Desirable Requirements:

  • Experience in working in a residential setting
