Do you have a passion for carer voices? Would you relish the opportunity to share your passion with others and make a positive impact on the lives of carers in Norfolk?

We are focusing on growth to reach more carers and increase the levels of support available for carers in Norfolk.

Working as part of our busy carer services team, your days will be varied, and as part of our carer awareness team will involve collaborating with organisations to raise awareness of carers and issues they face.

This is a permanent post working 21 hours per week, consideration will be given to full time candidates. The successful candidate will receive a competitive salary of £21,000-£25,000 FTE and company benefits as detailed below.

Candidates should be highly motivated, passionate about working with people and customer service excellence, proactive, responsive, efficient and share our commitment to promoting the voices of carers.

Key accountabilities of the role

  • Front facing role, currently WFH, collaborating with a range of organisations to raise awareness of carers and the issues they face, in order to help ensure that more carers receive support.
  • Expand the Carer Friendly Tick Award, working with organisations to support them to become carer friendly.
  • Co-ordinate and deliver a programme of high-quality carer awareness-raising work to education, health, employers and communities.

Skills and knowledge

  • Passionate about people, confident and friendly manner; would feel at ease representing the charity to a range of audiences.
  • Understand challenges facing carers, and their support needs.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including networking and presentation skills.
  • Fantastic organiser perhaps with contract or project management experience.
  • Effective IT skills. Experience in Microsoft software: Word, PowerPoint, Excel and digital channels such as Teams and Zoom.
