Community Carer’s Support Supervisor

Norwich

Full Time

Age UK Norwich

Closing Date: 10/12/21

We have an exciting opportunity for someone to oversee the day-to-day  running of our Community Carer’s Support Services, based from our Centre at Marion Road.

You will supervise our team of Community Support Workers (Care) who provide support to older people, their carers and families, offering a flexible range of carers support. This includes personal care, welfare visits, training and advice on care techniques, coaching for physical activity, as well as case managing and resolving issues that impact the carer, or their loved one.

Services are provided through a mixture of group-based sessional care at the Marion Centre, telephone, online and home visits. Session care includes a wide range of care plans, including personal care, medication administration, and meals –  so we’re looking for someone with recent experience in supervising the safety and quality of these activities.

(Personal care is strictly limited to the Day Centre only. Candidates are not required to do this within client’s homes or community settings.)

The right candidate will have a passion for quality care – that’s a given. We’re also looking for someone who is highly organised, has an eye for detail, and is able to create a homely, caring, and supportive environment for all Marion Centre patrons.  So, experience of running a building-based service will be an advantage.

We want someone who can hit the ground running, is keen to be creative in what the Marion Centre can offer, who is flexible to step-onto the floor and deliver care if the needs of our client’s demand.
