Do you need flexibility in the days you work? Our bank roles (sometimes referred to as “relief roles” in other companies) mean that you will be able to choose from available shifts and have the benefits of a consistent workplace combined with opportunity to build positive relationships with the individuals we support. However you aren’t guaranteed shifts every week as hours are worked as and when required.

Do you want to work in an award winning team? Clover Court is very proud to have a Suffolk Care Award in Promoting Dignity and Respect in Every Day Life, and we are currently recruiting for a Bank Care and Support Assistant to provide personal care and support to our residents living with physical disabilities. Rated as ‘Outstanding’ by the CQC, Clover Court is a fun, fast-paced environment where no two days are the same!

Located near the centre of Lowestoft close to public transport links and the seafront, Clover Court consists of 20 one-bedroom apartments designed to meet the needs of people with physical disabilities. We provide personalised care to our residents to encourage them to live as independently as possible.

We value our team and encourage learning and progression through our comprehensive induction programme, as well as on-going training to develop new and existing skills and encourage progression. Sanctuary has their own Learning and Development Academy, who provide a wide range of training courses, open to all.

Sanctuary also offers a great employee rewards scheme, where you will be able to receive a variety of discounts from major retailers.

If you are a person who celebrates differences, and strives to treat others with dignity and respect, this is a great opportunity to join our like-minded, hardworking, and resident-focused team.

The role of Bank Care and Support Assistant will include:

  • Delivering a high level of personalised support and encouraging our residents to live as independently as possible

  • Helping residents to arrange and attend appointments i.e. with their GP
  • Promoting a positive culture by engaging with residents to prevent social isolation
  • Promoting safe practices and undertaking risk assessments
  • Implementing safeguarding principles to ensure the safety of our residents
  • Keeping accurate and up-to-date records

Skills and experiences:

  • Personalised approach, ideally with experience within a similar, care related role
  • Enthusiastic and flexible with a strong “can-do” attitude
  • Strong organisational skills as well as functional literacy and numeracy
  • Good communication skills, allowing you to build relationships with residents
  • Ability to react quickly to changing priorities whilst working to deadlines and targets
  • NVQ level 2 in Health and Social Care or willing to work towards is desirable
