The Royal British Legion is proud to be at the heart of a national network that supports our Armed Forces community through thick and thin – ensuring their unique contribution is never forgotten. It is an exciting time to be joining the charity. Inspired by those we serve, our new strategy will provide the breadth, depth and quality of service that our beneficiaries deserve.
We are seeking to expand our team of Care Assistants at Halsey House care home in the seaside town of Cromer, Norfolk. Situated in a residential area close to the town centre, Halsey House is exceptionally well presented and equipped to meet the diverse range of needs and choices of those who live and work at Halsey House.
As a Care Assistant, you will be involved in supporting the daily activities of our residents in a person-centred manner; delivering care to the highest standards and engaging in social activity to promote well being. Above all you will safeguard the principles of dignity and choice, ensuring our service users’ are at the heart of everything we do and are supported to enjoy life as much as possible day in, day out.
No experience is necessary as you will be fully trained. However, although we can teach you most things, we cannot teach you compassion, so this is an essential requirement for this role. We promote a strong teamwork ethic and to ensure you feel confident in all aspects of your role we invest heavily in your training including ongoing vocational training opportunities. There is no limit to how far you can go – we ensure you have the support and resources you need to reach your potential and access opportunities for career progression.
If you want to work for a charity that provides the quality of care you’d expect for your loved ones, we would welcome your application.
