We are looking for people who are interested in joining our team of Bank Support Workers at The Hamlet. This offers a great opportunity for those wanting days to fit around their family or individuals wanting to gain more experience, as well as those with experience. We are looking for committed, friendly, patient individuals, with good communication skills, who are able to build positive relationships with the individuals we support.
Do you have experience of caring for people in either a professional or personal situation. Are you prepared to use the skills you have and demonstrate an enthusiasm, energy and get involved in activities. Are you physically fit, an excellent team player with a flexible approach to your work. Do you understanding the importance for all students to be treated as adults. That students are given choice and the opportunity to be involved, to have fun and socialise and how staff can support this. Do you have the ability to communicate with a wide range of people of differing abilities. Do you have an understanding of the experiences of disabled people and their families, and an appreciation of the barriers to inclusion that they may face.
In return we offer a quality training package and a varied fun day.
Hours: Casual – to cover weekdays Mon – Fri 8.30am -4pm and/or Saturday’s 9.30am – 4.30pm, as and when required
Pay: From 1st April Play Workers will be paid at £9 an hour once all mandatory training is complete. New starters will be paid National Minimum Wage for their age for all training and for all hours worked until they have successfully completed mandatory training.
