Permanent contract

We are looking for an enthusiastic Assistant Practitioner to join our Integrated Housing Adaptation Team (IHAT) as part of the Northern Locality Adult Community Care Team, working within the North Norfolk District Council (NNDC) as a part of the IHAT. The team consists of Team Manager, Technical Offices, Occupational Therapist and Administration Support based at the NNDC offices in Cromer.

We are located in the beautiful area of North Norfolk with 45 miles of stunning coastline, Blue Flag beaches, the unique Deep History Coast and breath-taking countryside.

We have embraced the Living Well approach, having been one of the first localities to adopt this way of working, and have embedded the value of individuals strengths, family and community support, to enable people to remain as independent and resilient as possible.  This is ongoing work – to develop strong community links as well as maintaining the relationships with our ‘traditional’ service providers of care agencies, day centre providers, and residential and nursing homes.

We are looking to recruit a new team member who is committed to working with our service user group of people over 65 years and younger adults with Physical Disabilities, to support and enable the best possible life outcomes. You will have good listening skills, be flexible and adaptable to new ways of working and be committed to supporting people to maintain their independence in their own homes.

We offer a warm welcome, modern office environment, flexible working hours, regular professional supervision and annual professional development focus, as well as access to regular training opportunities.

For an informal discussion about the vacancy please contact Angela Bevan – Team Manager on 01692 500550.
